Personal Naan Bread Margherita Pizza
Pizza night is my favorite night of the week 🙌 I eat pizza at least once a week, sometimes more if I'm feeling like it. The thing I love about pizza is how customizable it is, and yes, pineapple DOES belong on pizza. The recipe below is one of my favorites and I eat this style pretty frequently.
This simple Margherita pizza is quick and easy to make, filling, and delicious. I love to make homemade pizza because it's so customizable, can be a fun date night, and can save some money too!
I prefer to use the Indian style flatbread known as naan for my crust because it makes the pizza light and fluffy.
Prep time: 10 minute Cook time: 10-12 minutes Servings: 4 slices
Ingredients:
- 1 naan flatbread
- 1/4 cup pizza sauce
- 3 oz fresh mozzarella sliced into 1/4" slices
- 1 small size tomato chopped into 1/4" pieces
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil (you can use dried basil as well)
- 1/4 cup chopped purple onion
- 1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400F. Place naan bread on a nonstick baking pan
- Spread olive oil across naan bread
- Spread pizza sauce evenly across naan bread. Top with fresh mozzarella, tomato, fresh basil, and onion.
- Bake in oven for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese has melted. Enjoy!
