Personal Naan Bread Margherita Pizza

Pizza night is my favorite night of the week 🙌 I eat pizza at least once a week, sometimes more if I'm feeling like it. The thing I love about pizza is how customizable it is, and yes, pineapple DOES belong on pizza. The recipe below is one of my favorites and I eat this style pretty frequently.

This simple Margherita pizza is quick and easy to make, filling, and delicious. I love to make homemade pizza because it's so customizable, can be a fun date night, and can save some money too!

I prefer to use the Indian style flatbread known as naan for my crust because it makes the pizza light and fluffy.

Prep time: 10 minute Cook time: 10-12 minutes Servings: 4 slices

Ingredients:

  • 1 naan flatbread
  • 1/4 cup pizza sauce
  • 3 oz fresh mozzarella sliced into 1/4" slices
  • 1 small size tomato chopped into 1/4" pieces
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil (you can use dried basil as well)
  • 1/4 cup chopped purple onion
  • 1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400F. Place naan bread on a nonstick baking pan
  2. Spread olive oil across naan bread
  3. Spread pizza sauce evenly across naan bread. Top with fresh mozzarella, tomato, fresh basil, and onion.
  4. Bake in oven for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese has melted. Enjoy!
