Where to Begin with Intuitive Eating
Intuitive eating is so confusing in the beginning
It’s like one day you’re crushing it and feeling awesome with your new mindset..✔️ you’re rejecting diet mentality and changing your mindset around food✔️you’re honoring your hunger and being mindful of your hunger and fullness cues✔️you’re letting yourself eat all the foods you love without feeling guilt......Then the next day you may see yourself in the mirror and think “why did I give up dieting again?”......diet thoughts like, “should I really let myself have that cookie?” start to creep in…...you may overeat and feel like you HAVE to go workout to compensateBut trust me when I say that these thoughts are normal in the beginning of I.E. ‼️It’s important to remember that just because we have a thought, doesn’t mean it’s true…..So when you start practicing intuitive eating, and you hear those diet thoughts start to come back, be very curious, yet not judgemental
Ask yourself questions like:
- Where is this thought coming from?
- What did I do that brought this thought on?
- Is this a thought I want to have anymore?
- How can I make this thought more realistic?
