Salad, Salad, Salad
I used to eat a salad every single day, not because I wanted to, but because I thought I needed to in order to be healthy. On the flip side I also restricted myself from foods I loved like chips, pizza, and cookies because I thought eating them would make me unhealthy. After a while I got so sick of salads that I would end up bingeing on those foods that I thought made me “unhealthy” and then felt guilty about it after. It was such a poor way to live! Now that I’m more mindful of what my body truly wants, I enjoy salads when they sound good to me, which isn’t every day and that’s okay 🙂The moral of the story here is that restriction of foods that you love eventually leads to overconsumption of them and feelings of guilt later. So enjoy salads when they sound good to you but also allow yourself to enjoy foods like chips, pizza, and cookies when they sound good to you too 😋When is the last time you let yourself enjoy a food you considered unhealthy without feeling any guilt? Also, check out this super cute salad bowl I painted at a pottery shop in downtown Plymouth, Michigan 🙂 p.s. Don’t judge, I’m no artist 😂Disclaimer: If you purchase products through links posted on this site, I may earn commission through affiliate partners, however, all opinions on products are genuine.
