Intuitive Eating and Vacations🏝

How my vacation experience has been so much different than any other ones I’ve been on thanks to healing my relationship with my body and food 👇🏼

I don’t have the “f*ck it, I’m on vacation” attitude when it comes to my eating habits.. Don’t get me wrong, I’m allowing myself to eat any food I want, but I’m also listening to my hunger and fullness cues still and not getting to the point of eating where I feel uncomfortably fullMost of us experience this type of attitude because we use vacation to let loose and relaxThere’s nothing wrong with allowing yourself to eat whatever you want, but the “f*ck it” attitude on vacation usually sets us up to:✔️Overeat and feel uncomfortably full✔️Rebound diet or detox the second we get back from vacationI feel comfortable in the bathing suits I’m wearing because I found styles that feel good and fit my body the way I likeSide note: I’m also being super kind to myself in any pictures I see of myself while wearing a bathing suit...this one can be harder because it doesn’t mean I love every picture I see of myself, it means I’m choosing to not talk crap about myself if there’s a picture I don’t likeI’m not forcing myself to get a workout in every single day, especially to “make up” for all the food I ate the day beforeOn past vacations, if I let myself splurge with food, I would feel like I had to get up and workout to “work off” the calories I ate the day beforeOn my current vacation, I haven’t forced myself to exercise unless I wanted to and I’ve found movement I love to do like taking a sunset walk on the beach or swimming in the ocean 🌞🌊Overall, I’m enjoying this vacation experience more than other vacations because my focus isn’t on my body and what I’m eating
