Weekend Food for Thought

Here’s something to think about before you start your weekend:

Do you set rules for yourself and eat really well during the week?Do you also get to the weekend, say “screw it” 🤷🏻‍♀️ and binge on all the food you didn’t allow yourself to have during the week? And from that weekend binge, comes Sunday night guilt 🥴Finally we come full circle on Monday morning, telling ourselves we will “be good all week” with our diet, only to get to the weekend and do it all over againTrust me, I used to do it too 🙋🏻‍♀️Instead of “being good” during the week just so you can feel less guilty when you break the rules on the weekend, try giving yourself NO RULES around food and eating what you want, when you wantEnjoy that delicious ice cream after dinner on a weeknight because you want something sweetHave that nutritious smoothie on Monday morning because you want to feel good and have a productive start to your work weekHave the pizza on a Wednesday night because it sounds way better than what you had planned or you’re just tired from a long day at work and don’t want to cook

Give yourself permission to eat what you want, whenever you want!

And here’s the best part of this: When you stop putting rules on food, the ones you once thought were off limits simply become food rather than “guilty pleasures” that have power over our thoughts and emotions
